The U.S. Department of Justice recently released newly revised guidance that gives some federal agencies under the Department of Homeland Security, including the TSA and FBI, the license to discriminate!
Sign our petition to send a message to President Obama that THIS IS WRONG.
This is a huge setback for civil rights in the U.S. Our government is now officially giving the agencies that most interact with communities of color a special license to discriminate.
Sign this petition and tell President Barack Obama:
- This is NOT progress and in fact a set back for the civil rights movement in the U.S.
- The agencies that are exempt from the guidance interact predominantly with Arab, Muslim and Latino communities and are known to racially and ethnically profile.
- It doesn’t make our country any safer when we single out entire communities and don’t have all agencies playing by the same rules.
- We cannot accept a two-tiered system because that portrays that there are two sets of citizens in this country and that is unjust and unfair.
