Tell Congress to #RepealTheBan and Support the No Ban Act

Posted May 08, 2019 12:12 PM

A new bill—the NO BAN Act—introduced by Senator Chris Coons and Congresswoman Judy Chu, would not just repeal Trump’s Muslim, asylum, and refugees bans—it would limit the ability for this administration or any post-Trump administration to do something like it ever again.

We need to send a strong message that our communities and allies will stand together and fight back in the face of hatred and bigotry.

Please sign this petition to make sure your representatives are on board.

Statement in Response to the Massacre in Christchurch, New Zealand

Posted March 15, 2019 11:59 AM

We are mourning the 49 victims and the 40 injured in a massacre that took place in 2 different mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand. We are sending love to our community members who were affected by this tragedy both directly and indirectly.

In an online manifesto released prior to the attack, the terrorist, a white male in his late 20s, praised previous mass shootings and other violence committed in the name of white supremacy.

Let us be clear, this was not a random attack fueled by ignorance. It was a horrific terrorist attack that took place in the midst of anti-Muslim and anti-immigrant policies, such as the Trump administration’s active Muslim Ban. This act was fueled by the structural violence promoted by the rapidly and alarmingly growing sentiment of white supremacy.

Support organizations fighting the #MuslimBan

Posted January 30, 2017 2:07 PM

Resist.1.png

The ban on Muslims and shut down of our borders are the first steps in a Trump-era agenda that criminalize entire communities based on their nationality and origin. In this country, we do not ban, register, or deport people based on their background or identity. Now is the time to resist.

Tell your representatives: Say no to ban on Muslims & shutdown of borders

Posted January 26, 2017 5:01 PM

RESIST_Header.png

Urge your elected officials to publicly call out Trump's executive orders on immigrants and refugees and stand up for those who are being unjustly targeted. The ban on Muslims and shutdown of our borders are the first steps in a Trump-era agenda that criminalizes entire communities based on their nationality and origin. In this nation of diverse communities, we do not ban, register, or deport people based on their background or identity. We are better than state-sanctioned bigotry.

Use our easy-to-use form below to contact your representatives* in Congress. We also encourage you to use the same talking points to contact your local elected officials, such as your mayors, city council members and school boards to stand up for what is right and ensure that our Muslim, Arab, South Asian, Latinx and all communities will not face hate and bigotry based on their skin color, their faith, or their country of origin.
